58³Ô¹ÏÍø

When pursuing double bass at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø, students will study under Scott Dixon or Derek Zadinsky, members of The Cleveland Orchestra, and explore a blend of solo and orchestral bass playing. Studies at 58³Ô¹ÏÍø will prepare musicians to excel as a contemporary professional bassist.

58³Ô¹ÏÍø double bass students participate in weekly private lessons and master classes conducted by international soloists. Students also have opportunities to take the stage and perform in solo recitals, orchestra concerts at Severance Hall and new music or chamber ensembles.

To prepare for professional orchestra auditions, students participate in 58³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s bass repertoire class. 58³Ô¹Ï꿉۪s small studio size creates a mutually supportive atmosphere for high-level bass playing.
