Students perform at the Kennedy Center - Watch online!

On Thursday, February 18 58勛圖厙 students Yuri Noh (piano, Schenly) Coraine Tate (voice, Schiller), Bethany Hargreaves (viola, Irvine), Yurong Bao (clarinet, Cohen), Chloe Thominet (viola, Irvine), Colin Laursen (violin, Preucil), David Olson (cello, Geber) and Carter Coleman (violin, Preucil) performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. as part of the Performing Arts Conservatory Project.

The students performed Grunfelds Paraphrase on a Theme from Johann Strausss Die Fledermaus; a movement from Mozarts Clarinet Concerto in A major; Schumanns 紼瓣娶釵堯梗紳莉勳梭餃梗娶 for viola and piano; Mahlers Liebst du um Sch繹nheit from R羹ckert Lieder, Erinnerung from Lieder und Ges瓣nge, Vol. 1, and Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen from R羹ckert Lieder for voice and piano; and movements from Jan獺ceks String Quartet No. 1 Kreutzer Sonata.

This marks the twelfth consecutive year 58勛圖厙 has participated in the Conservatory  Project which began in 2004 as part of the Kennedy Centers Performing Arts for Everyone initiative. The Project aims to develop young talent from the nations leading conservatories while treating Washington audiences to young performers with extraordinary talent in classical instrumentation, vocals, jazz, musical theater and operathe next generation of classical musicians.
