58Թ's production of Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' earns high marks


"A panorama of visual delights and a catalog of dramatic invention, brought vivid life to Mozart's last and best-loved opera, The Magic Flute,” , a freelance reviewer for The Plain Dealer who attended the Friday performance of the work by the 58Թ Opera Theater on November 8. 

A sizable crowd attended the Wednesday night premiere of this whimsical production--the first performance in the 58Թ Opera Theater series for the season. The second in this dual cast opera welcomed a good crowd on Thursday, but it was the complete sell out of 58Թ's larger concert hall for the Friday and Saturday performances that had students in both casts as well as faculty walking on air.

The glowing review by , complimenting all aspects of the 58Թ rendition from the musicians and singers to the simple yet highly effective sets, lighting and colorful costumes, has been icing on the proverbial cake.
